Charles is the Senior Fellow and Director of the Countering Terrorism and Extremism program at Middle East Institute and will be delivering this lecture as part of the Crisis and Conflict in Historical Perspective co-curricular initiative.

This lectures series serves undergraduates considering careers in policy, as well as the greater WashU and St. Louis communities seeking historically-informed discussion about global events, and is sponsored and funded by the Office of the Dean of Faculty of Arts & Sciences.
