The recipient of the 2018 Wesley-Logan Prize in African diaspora history
Please join the Department of History in congratulating Professor Monique Bedasse, who has been named as the recipient of the 2018 Wesley-Logan Prize in African diaspora history.
This prize is sponsored jointly by the American Historical Association and the Association for the Study of African American Life & History.
She will receive the award at the AHA meeting in January 2019, but the announcement of all AHA award winners went out today.
The award honors her 2017 book, Jah Kingdom: Rastafarians, Tanzania, and Pan-Africanism in the Age of Decolonization.
