The Beveridge Family Prize is one of only two awards for teaching excellence from the AHA, and is the only prize that recognizes elementary and secondary school teachers.
Carla Federman, who received her MA from our graduate program, led a teaching team that recently received the AHA’s Beveridge Family Teaching Prize. Carla runs the integrated K-12 history/social sciences program at MICDS (Mary Institute and St. Louis Country Day School). She won the prize along with five other teachers for their course on St. Louis history. Carla served as team leader for this project.
