Welcome to WashU!
To celebrate the beginning of your academic future, stop by Olin Library, room 142 between 10am-11:30am to meet with History and Medical Humanities faculty. Learn all about the department and the major/minor! Also meet with representatives from Missouri Historical Society, Olin Library, Study Abroad, Phi Altha Theta, learn about the Medical Humanities minor, and find out about the Gateway History Journal. Ice cream will be provided, and spin our prize wheel to win prizes such as WashU Swag, Corner17 gift cards for boba, and more!

Featuring undergraduates with specialized research, all history faculty, and current or prospective majors and minors in History are invited to attend this yearly spring mixer and meet-and-greet. We showcase extraordinary student work in History, welcome new members to the History student community, and distribute prizes for outstanding student research and writing at all levels. - Phi Altha Theta Honorary
Phi Alpha Theta is open to anyone at WashU interested in history. Being a member of the club and participating in the programming and events only requires a short interview process. To graduate with Phi Alpha Theta honors, and to be considered a full member of the honorary, with access to the extensive alumni network, you must complete 12 credit hours of history, maintain a minimum 3.1 GPA in history and a 3.0 GPA overall. - Gateway History Journal
In addition to semesterly meetings, programming, and academic opportunities, Phi Alpha Theta also publishes the Gateway History Journal, a volume of premier undergraduate scholarship from Washington University and the greater midwestern region.
